I
Our Story and industry
The idea of Gawron Contracting started in 2017 and was officially established in 2019, with the goal of providing top quality results for the optimal price. Bringing honesty, credibility, accountability and passion to each project.
We can say it has been an amazing journey to get to where we are today. We continue to strive every day to keep that goal and promise. Not just to ourselves but to our customers.
Times have changed, so have the products, and the “Professionals”
First and foremost, I personally want to introduce myself. My name is Dawid Gawron (David GA-Ron) Owner, Builder, and designer. My personal purpose in life has always been to do whatever task the right way morally and physically. When I take on a task, countless hours are dedicated into fully diving into the world of that subject and yes, I am very much a stickler at making sure our sources are 100% credible.
Within my time as a builder, I have learned so much about the industry we are in. To this day it continues to blow my mind and the minds of my teams about the dirty truths of today’s construction industry.
It is not in our intention to shame, belittle, or discriminate against anyone who is growing and learning. Unfortunately, most of these are done at the customer’s expense, in a world where it has just become too expensive to do it twice.
Today, no purchasing decision is not an easy one. It just seems like everything is just another sales pitch, and/or empty promises in all industries.
So as construction professionals we have taken it on ourselves to sort through the weeds of the ever-growing trade industry.
More than ever, the average failure rate that we personally see in remodel projects is 1-5 years. I know this sounds crazy to believe but we want to explain why.
Building anything has a minimum standard. We all know it as CODE. Building Codes “are written in blood’” the first formal codes being enforced in the early 1600’s due to towns/ cities almost being completely burning down. Most to all states and jurisdictions follow The Internation Code Council (ICC) regulations or a modified version to suit specific needs like the state of Pennsylvania.
In fact, every County, Township, City, and town has its own requirements of what is acceptable and what is required to be enforced. Even though every aspect of the ICC is to create a safe and lifetime lasting environment for our Family’s to thrive.
About 90% of home renovations are dependent on the contractor to be fluent in these areas, unfortunately 90% of those renovations are not required to be inspected. Many contractors are simply ignorant or neglected their duty to follow these requirements. But the #1 reason is associated with the total project cost. Whether it’s required to be permitted, inspected, installed by a licensed trade professional (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, engineering, architect) or simply built to the standard it should be.
From the smallest business, government, to our largest home builders it seems the only common goal is whoever is cheapest. Not the most qualified, or quality.
We are here to Break this paradigm
